Farmers amusement park' is what they call themselves. Where the visitors can romp, play in hay and straw, and have a great time with animals. This is great. But what has that to do with karts?

Nothing. But "we always wanted them", Jozie van Tebald van Elst says, because we really love racing. But when we started ten years ago, we were simply still too small. When you offer such an attraction, you must do it well. After a few years we managed to find the required space".

And how! The total surface of Irrland is now 10 hectares. That is large enough for a considerable amount of tricycles, peddle-karts, in which you can also transport things and as pièce de resistance the kart track of roughly 5,000 m2. Three hundred karts drive on it, in all types and sizes. With a coin or guarantor system, otherwise you have to collect them from everywhere in the evening.

From age eight and above children can use the kart track independently. "Not sooner", warns Mrs. Van Tebald van Elst, "for the kiddies it is still a little too dangerous when it is busy, no matter how safe the material is". Irrland offers various tracks for different ages, for the youngest children there is a smaller kart track. So is the kart track only for children? That is exactly the great thing about it, that entire families can race against each other! Father in the driver's seat, child on his lap, and off you go. We often get the reaction "Thank you so much, we were able to be children again."

However, you must of course have karts of good quality. Thus Irrland ended up with BERG Toys. Great items, great service, Irrland believe. And cooperation from both sides. This way BERG Toys, thanks to the experiences of Irrland, has modified and reinforced its karts for the professional recreation market with extra welding work providing tougher karts for use. And the maintenance? "At first our German dealer took care of that", thus Mrs. Van Tebald van Elst. But as we got more karts and hand karts, that really became a bit inconvenient. 300 units is not a small quantity. For this reason we now have our own kart mechanics. Ideal."
